The City of Asheville is creating a financing mechanism that enables the City to lend residents $5,000 to $20,000 for energy efficiency improvements on existing homes within City limits. People who elect to take this loan from the City would repay the loan on their tax bill over a 10 to 15 year period. This program was adopted in early 2010 and it is in the pilot phase. Initial Proposal presented to the Asheville City Council. Stay tuned to see how MOSAIC Community Lifestyle Realty participates in this groundbreaking program.
